Spreading Love with Art:
February’s Valentines’ Origami Flowers Project

February was all about love and creativity at our art academy! This month, our students dedicated their skills to crafting beautiful paper flower bouquets for Silverado Hospice patients. The "Valentines’ Origami Flowers" project brought warmth and joy to those in need of comfort, proving once again that art has the power to connect and heal.

A Special Contribution

This project was particularly exciting as one of our students, Shawn, joined the ideation process. Her creativity and passion helped shape the project, making it even more meaningful. Moving forward, she will take the lead in running our volunteering club for Silverado Hospice, ensuring our partnership continues to grow and make an impact.

Why Paper Flowers?

Handmade paper flowers are a timeless symbol of love and care. Each fold and design carried a message of kindness, making these bouquets a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for patients and their families. Our students put their hearts into each creation, hoping to brighten someone's day with their artistic touch.

Looking Ahead

As we continue our monthly projects with Silverado Hospice, we’re excited to see how our students’ involvement grows. This initiative not only strengthens our community bonds but also provides students with meaningful opportunities to use their artistic talents for a greater cause.

We’re proud of our students for making a difference through art, and we can’t wait to see what they create next!

A Life-Changing Experience

Volunteering through art is eye-opening. It helps students grow emotionally, appreciate life, and see art as a tool for healing. Many say it’s one of the most meaningful experiences they’ve had.

Stand Out for College

Beyond the personal rewards, this experience also strengthens college applications. Schools, including Ivy League institutions, value students who show compassion and community involvement.
